Karagöz Oyunları on Etsy

In case you are not familiar with Etsy, as in “Betsy without the B,” it is a wonderful website that has created a space for artisans and vintage sellers from around the world to share their unique items. While there is a lot of junk on Etsy – there are a lot of wonderful finds – and to my sheer and utter delight, there is a Karagöz Oyunlerı presence there as well.

If you are as “into” these puppets as I am (or are they into me, my head, more specifically, I don’t know), you may be interested in checking out the metal work of Nesrin Dugan, who is based in Istanbul. I have taken the liberty of sharing some photos of her work here. Buyrun – enjoy!
